LET'S GET REAL

SUCESS IN LIFE IS MORE THAN JUST A DEGREE

THE TRUTH

Anyone who has graduated with a college degree and enters the workforce understands that a college degree alone does not lead to a well-paying job.  However, college is regularly sought after because it is often highlighted by peers, family members, educators, and the media as the best way to get a good paying job. However, with the cost to attend increasing every year and the increased competition for acceptance, find the right college is becoming more and more difficult.

THE CHALLENGE

With approximately 4,000 colleges and universities in the US, there are many options for higher education. Where a student chooses to go can either jumpstart their future or set them back. In addition, admission requirements can differ between colleges. Getting the necessary support during this process can be difficult for a lot of families. And the impact of high school counselor on the college admission process is minimal because of their other mandated responsibilities and their workload. In a study published by The Education Trust, “nearly one in five students don’t have access to a school counselor, leaving approximately 8 million students without access to proper counseling support.”

THE SOLUTION

The college admission process can be a scary task. However, coupled with limited knowledge and resources, successful outcomes will be hard to come by. One misplaced document or one missed deadline, could result in an incomplete application or loss of a scholarship. There is a lot at stake during this process.  Let us be your personal guide through this process.

At Kimmins Consulting LLC, we will help you develop a plan for your future. With over 10 years of experience, our approach will ensure that your student is truly set up for success - not just in college, but in life.

SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

COLLEGE & BEYOND

At Kimmins Consulting LLC., we have one goal, “every student will know how their intended major will lead to their anticipated career.” Because this is such a large investment, we want to make sure every student knows what they need to do to get a return for their investment. Our approach is simple:

SELF-ASSESS

As you pursue greatness, success will require you to acquire new skills along with sharpening skills you possess. To prepare, you must have a system in place that will allow you to evaluate your progress. It's important that you know areas where you shine and equally important to know areas where you can improve.

EXPOSURE

The more you see, the more you will see is possible for you. And through exposure, you will develop a strong belief that you will achieve your goals. Exposure also brings clarity of vision, meaning you will know what will be expected of your to achieve your goals!

EXECUTE

Most would agree with Benjamin Franklin’s saying, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” We mistakenly mimic what worked for someone else and expect the same results. You want to develop a plan that will help you achieve your measure of success.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Thinking about the college admissions process gave me nightmares. I had a list of 10-20 schools that I wanted to apply to. Dr. Kimmins turned what I thought was a nightmare into a dream; he helped make the process so much smoother. Because I was very active in my high school, I assumed that trying to balance my extracurriculars, AP and honor classes, and the admissions process would hinder my social life. Dr. Kimmins worked with me, and I was able to continue doing everything that I loved doing all the while rocking my college applications. When it was all said and done, I graduated with over $150,000 in scholarships. I was able to choose a college that I liked based on qualities other than financial aid. And for that, I am forever grateful. I love the school that I attend. I would have never considered it if Dr. Kimmins wouldn’t have mentioned it. He is the best.
